Sending your application to an au pair

You can easily contact your favourite au pairs through the relevant profiles. By sending a standard message, you can effortlessly and quickly communicate your interest.
As a Premium Member, you have the opportunity to add your personal messages to the standard messages. Thus, you can ask the au pairs questions or send them your phone number or email address, for instance.

You will find your sent messages in the folder „Sent“. Depending on whether you can see an opened or unopened envelope, you will know if the au pair read your message or not.

Replying to an au pair's application

Just as yourself, au pairs can send their applications to you. You will find these applications in the folder „Received“. Naturally, you can simply answer back by sending a positive or negative reply.  At the bottom of the application, you will find a note whether it contains a personal text or not. As a Premium Member, the personal text of all au pairs will be displayed to you.

Sending a positive reply

Should you like an au pair's profile, you can communicate your interest by sending him/her a positive reply. To spare you the effort of writing a long text, we have equally prepared a standard message for you. As a Premium Member you always have the possibilty to complement this standard message with your personal text.

Sending a negative reply

Should you not have a mutual interest in a certain au pair, you can send him/her a negative reply to his/her initial application. However, you should bear in mind that by sending your negative reply, you will end the conversation for good and cannot reset it later. Therefore, you should only end a conversation if you are entirely certain that you do not wish to further maintain a contact with this particular au pair.

After declining an application, the conversation will be moved to the archive. Under your sent messages folder, you will only find the conversations, which you wish to keep going.

Reading and writing personal messages

If you are a Premium Member, you can write personal messages to au pairs and naturally also read the personal messages of all au pairs – regardless of the date of receipt.

Continue your conversations

You can continue all personal conversations you already start as a Premium Member, even after your Premium Membership expires.
